BECOME A REFEREE

Referees are an integral part of the game we play, and we are appreciative of all referees – especially those who have served our soccer club over the years.

To become a referee, the first level of certification is called Grassroots. Once you become a Grassroots referee, you can officiate competitive, small-sided or recreational youth and amateur adult matches.

All Grassroots candidate referees must complete four (4) assignments in the US Soccer Digital Learning Center, attend an in-person field session and, (if over the age of 18), complete an NCSI background check.

Los Gatos United is hosting a Referee Course on October 6, 2023 at Daves Avenue School in Los Gatos.  The course begins at 3:30pm and represents the on-field portion of the referee licensing program. Prior to attending the on-field training, you must complete the online course assignments.
