Matt grew up in Los Gatos and played for LG United for most of his life. He moved to De Anza force his senior year of high school and was recruited to play college soccer at a number of schools, but ultimately chose UC Davis. At Davis, he played club soccer for four years. He loved soccer so much that he was president of the entire UC Davis club soccer program. He has been coaching and doing personal training all his life; he loved the sport so much he could never get away from it.
“I choose to coach for Los Gatos simply because of the great experience I had growing up in the club. The opportunities, lessons, and love of soccer that coaches here taught me when I was younger made me realize that now I can do the same with the younger generation. Los Gatos United has always been for me about teaching the players to love the game and be as passionate as you can. I hope to accomplish this every time I step on the field with my teams.”
