Los Gatos United comp soccer is designed for players who are interested in taking their soccer game to a high-level. Our Comp Program is for player’s ages 6-18 who are serious about soccer. This program is comprised of both boy’s teams and girl’s teams that are trained and managed by our Los Gatos United professional coaching staff. Players learn the Los Gatos United Way, which focuses on building confidence, humility, determination, resilience, dedication, and competitiveness. We believe that our job is to help build great people, not just great soccer players.
Comp players train and play year around in a series of tournaments and league games during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. The comp program holds tryouts in early December and May. Practices begin the first week of February and match play kicking off between late March and early April. LGUSL comp soccer teams practice 2-3 days a week depending on age group. Games and tournaments are on Saturdays and Sundays.
Players are expected to purchase a team uniform that includes a home and away jersey, shorts, and socks. New players will receive a complimentary practice jersey. Because players may have more than one game on the weekend we suggest purchasing two (2) pairs of shorts and socks. Players are encouraged to wear their practice jersey, black shorts, and black socks to training sessions.
