We rely on the generous participation of volunteer parent coaches to make our recreational league possible. Please consider being a coach or assistant coach for your player’s team this spring. You will have the option to volunteer when registering your child. If coaching isn’t your cup of tea, we have other volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your partnership in bringing the beautiful game to the youth in our community!
SUPER REC OVERVIEW
Los Gatos United is excited to participate in the NorCal Super Rec Fall League for our Fall Recreational U14 and U17 teams.
The NorCal Super Rec Fall League is designed to give older recreational players a meaningful, well-organized fall season with competitive games against other local clubs. It is especially helpful for age groups where there may not be enough teams within a single club to form a full in-house league.
League play includes 8–10 games, beginning in mid- to late August, with divisions organized geographically and by level of play. This structure helps create balanced, local competition while keeping players engaged, active, and enjoying soccer longer into their teenage years.
For LGU Fall Rec players, this league provides a great opportunity to continue playing in a fun, team-centered environment while experiencing competition beyond our own club. Teams will also have the opportunity to play in a season-ending US Club-sanctioned tournament.
TEAM REGISTRATION
OPTIONAL TEAM REGISTRATION – HOW IT WORKS
If you have a group with enough players to form a complete team (and also have a designated volunteer coach), you are invited to fill out the team application. If your team meets the minimum requirements, your team will be accepted and placed into the appropriate division. Team applications must include a minimum number of players as follows : eleven players for U6 and U8, ten players for U10, twelve players for U12, and fourteen players for U14 & U19. Once you have submitted a team application, and all the players on your team have registered and paid as individual players, your team will be approved.
NOT PART OF A TEAM REGISTRATION?
That’s fine! The majority of players are in this category. You may list a maximum of 4 buddy requests (in order of priority), and we will do our best. Mutual buddy requests are prioritized (i.e., you ask for a buddy, and they ask for you).
