College Seminar Series with Coach Kyle Gookins

Los Gatos United welcomes former coach Kyle Gookins back to the club this season for a virtual College Seminar Series aimed at demystifying the college soccer recruiting process.

Gookins brings more than 20 years of coaching and player-development experience at the youth, academy and collegiate levels. His college coaching resume includes CSU Bakersfield, UNC Charlotte and Stetson University, and he has worked extensively with development academies and club programs across the country. He also scouts for U.S. youth national teams and runs My College Soccer, an organization that helps student-athletes and families navigate recruiting and make informed choices about the “right” university fit.

The seminar series will cover practical topics families need now and over the coming years:

  • Typical recruitment timelines and milestones
  • What opportunities look like across NCAA divisions, NAIA and alternative platforms
  • Recent trends and changes in college recruiting and how they affect student-athletes

Sessions are open to all LGU families but are particularly useful for parents and players who are approaching high school or currently on top-level teams. The format is virtual and conversational, aimed at helping LGU families feel more confident navigating the recruiting process

Join the seminar via Zoom on Monday, October 20, from 6:30–8:00 PM: https://us05web.zoom.us/j/84161727499?pwd=XzpsEp7HaLZnKLdIvbp8PG1aZnrbF5.1
