GOALKEEPER ACADEMY
Summer Goalkeeper Academy is a high-level weekly training program for goalkeepers ages 10–17, beginning the week of June 8 at Union Middle School. The Academy runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–11:00am, with players grouped and coached in age- and level-appropriate training environments to ensure the right balance of fundamentals, challenge, and confidence-building.
Training will cover the full spectrum of modern goalkeeping, including catching and handling, diving technique, positioning and angle play, and distribution (short and long). Goalkeepers will also train game-realistic scenarios such as 1v1s, corner kicks, free kicks (including wall organization), and penalty kicks, while developing the communication and decision-making responsibilities that top keepers bring to every phase of play.
Because today’s keepers must be comfortable with their feet, players will spend part of each day doing technical ball mastery work alongside the adjacent camp by design—not as filler—followed by a daily finish where keepers join scrimmages to play in goal and apply their learning in real game moments. Coaching is led by licensed staff, including current and former professional and college goalkeepers. Cost: $425 per player, per week.
