We Are Bay FC – The NWSL Is Coming to the Bay Area!

A new professional women’s soccer team – Bay Football Club, or Bay FC – is coming to the Bay Area. They will kick off play in 2024 at PayPal Park, home of the MLS San Jose Earthquakes.

Four former USWNT Players with Bay Area connections – Brandi Chastain, Danielle Slaton, Aly Wagner, and Leslie Osborne (whose children play for Los Gatos United) – have joined with majority investor Sixth Street and former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg to found the team. The $125 million investment is the largest investment ever for a pro women’s team.

Bay FC’s colors and logo have now been revealed: dark navy, warm poppy red, and fittingly, fog gray. The logo features a capital “B” which draws inspiration from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.”We really started with this idea of bridges really defining the Bay as beautiful pillars of strength that will connect us all,” Osborne told NBC News.
