SPEED, STRENGTH & FITNESS

A high-impact, sport-specific training program for serious athletes ages 13–18. Our Speed, Strength & Fitness Program blends strength training in the Creekside gym with speed, agility, and conditioning to help players move better, get stronger, and stay healthier through the summer—and into the season.

Program Overview
SPEED, STRENGTH & FITNESS  is for athletes seeking measurable gains in:

• Strength & power (accelerate faster, win duels, improve explosiveness)
• Speed mechanics (first-step quickness, acceleration, change of direction)
• Agility & coordination (efficient movement, body control, balance)
• Endurance & repeat sprint ability (more fitness to maintain intensity longer)
• Injury resilience (e.g. ACL-focused movement and landing mechanics)

Who It’s For

Speed, Strength & Fitness is for players ages 13–18 who:

• want to be more fit, get faster, stronger, and more explosive
• need better mechanics for cutting, landing, and deceleration
• want to build durability and reduce injury risk
• are motivated to train with purpose in a coached environment

Whether your athlete is building a foundation or leveling up for high school/club competition, this program provides a structured, progressive path.

About Dr. Andrew Cleary

Dr. Andrew Cleary, Los Gatos United’s Director of Sports Performance, works exclusively with LGU athletes 3–4 nights per week and brings a proven, science-based approach to player development. With a PhD in Sports Performance and experience training elite athletes—including NBA great Scottie Pippen—Dr. Cleary’s system blends performance training with smart injury prevention.

The results have been clear: after implementing his program, Los Gatos United experienced a dramatic reduction in ACL injuries this past year. Our Speed, Strength & Fitness Program is your athlete’s chance to train in that same system this summer—stronger, faster, more durable.

Schedule & Registration Options

Weekly programs are offered June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26, July 6-10, July 13-17, & July 20-24

Each weekly program meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for 1 hour per day (Wednesday is off).

When registering, choose one training time:

9:00 AM — Girls only
10:00 AM — Coed (boys & girls)
11:00 AM — Coed (boys & girls)

Spots are limited by time slot to ensure quality coaching, safe training loads, and individual feedback.

Program cost is $150/week.
