COMPETITIVE / THE FAMILY GUIDE

COMMITMENT & COST

A season-long team commitment. Coaches who know the player. Time to train, compete and develop together. Here is how the commitment works, and where to start.

WHAT YOUR FAMILY IS JOINING

U8–U19 teams. The program spans the first small-sided competitive years through older youth soccer.

Professional coaching. Paid coaches work within a shared club methodology, with individual development at the center.

Consistent training. U8–U14 teams train three times per week. Additional platform or performance work applies at selected levels; ask about the specific schedule for your player’s team.

A season-long commitment, with a calendar that depends on the team. Team training, league play and tournaments give players time to develop together. Before accepting a place, review the team-specific calendar as well as its dues.

ECNL and ECNL Regional League. Training begins in late July. League play runs from approximately mid-August through May; U15-U18 teams have a December-February break to allow high-school soccer. The overall program normally continues into mid-June, and qualifying playoff teams may continue into July. These teams also attend platform events, with college showcases for the older ECNL teams.

Other competitive teams. Training begins in early August and continues through the end of May. Many teams elect to finish with a tournament in early to mid-June. Confirm the final calendar for your specific team, including any postseason qualification.

Plan from the team calendar, not the last league game. League dates, training, tournaments and postseason play do not necessarily end together. The commitment described here is the playing and training calendar, not a statement of membership, billing or refund terms.

Understand the whole commitment

Before accepting a place, ask LGU about the current fee, what is included, the weekly schedule, and the travel and event requirements for the relevant age group and team.

COSTS, INCLUSIONS & PLANNING

Compare the full commitment for the specific team and season, not only a league name or an annual fee. Contact LGU for the current offer while the detailed comparison guide is being prepared.

CLUB DUES & INCLUDED SERVICES

Confirm the approved dues for your player’s team, the period they cover, and which training, games, tournaments and specialist services are included. Requirements can differ by age group and competition level.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES & TRAVEL

Ask about uniforms, travel, lodging and any event costs outside club dues. Clarify which events are required and the likely travel commitment before accepting a place.

PAYMENT OPTIONS & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Contact the club about the applicable payment options, deposit terms and financial-assistance process before committing. Individual arrangements and awards require club review.

START WITH A CONVERSATION

Families may express interest throughout the year. Attending a tryout or evaluation depends on the applicable league rules, the player’s current registration status and confirmed club arrangements. Spring tryouts are the main entry point; the separate mid-season opportunity has its own eligibility requirements. An expression of interest does not schedule an immediate evaluation or guarantee a team place. See Tryouts & Evaluations for the appropriate route before continuing to Byga.

Tell us your player’s age group, recent playing experience and what they are looking for. Ask about evaluation opportunities and the right environment for their next stage.
