Teen Soccer keeps the competition, coaching and friendships you enjoy, with a lighter weekly commitment. It is a different way to stay in the game, not a step you have to take toward competitive soccer.
HOW IT WORKS

One optional weekday session
One optional small-sided session each week for more touches, quick decisions and time with teammates. No additional required practice to fit into your calendar.

Weekend matches
Match day is the centerpiece. Play against other clubs, contribute to your team and enjoy the competition. Exact match dates follow your team’s league schedule.

An LGU competitive coach
An LGU competitive coach brings soccer knowledge, organization and encouragement, with the focus on helping players enjoy the game and stay connected to their team.

BRING YOUR GROUP.
JOINING ON YOUR OWN
You do not need an existing team. When registration opens, register your player in Byga and choose the individual-player route. LGU handles team placement.
BRINGING A GROUP
A coach, manager or adult group representative submits one free team application in Byga. Every player also completes their own league registration and payment. Both routes will be linked here when registration opens.
Fewer than 14 players? Your group can still apply. U14 and high-school teams normally need at least 14 eligible, registered players. LGU will review whether individual registrants can help complete your roster. Additional players and team approval are not guaranteed.

Does naming a team confirm a place?
No. Naming a group in a player’s registration does not by itself confirm a place on that team. LGU confirms team placement separately. A team application also does not replace each player’s registration and payment.
Who will teams play?
Other clubs, in a league and division selected by LGU for balanced, enjoyable competition. This may include NorCal Premier’s Super Rec League or an appropriate competitive division. The lighter Teen Soccer format stays the same.
League planning window: NorCal’s published 2026/27 calendar lists Super Rec spring game dates from March 6 through May 15, 2027. Those are not confirmed first and last matches for every LGU team. Check NorCal’s calendar and, once registered, your team’s Byga schedule.
When can I register?
Registration is not open yet. Fees, locations and entry details will be published before enrollment. This page will then link directly to Byga for individual-player registration and the separate, free team application.

Already playing this fall? Teen Soccer launches in Spring 2027 and does not change the schedules or coaching arrangements of Fall 2026 teams.
