JOINING AS AN INDIVIDUAL
You do not need an existing team. For your next season, explore Winter Futsal and Spring Rec, then use the individual-player route when registration opens.
For immediate Fall 2026 placement, contact LGU first. Staff must confirm that a suitable team can take your player before you register.
ORGANIZE A TEAM
For a future season, check whether a team-application route is offered and follow its requirements and deadlines. Contact LGU before considering a new Fall 2026 team application this late in the season.
Each participating family still completes its own player registration and payment. A team application does not replace those steps.
Follow the requirements and deadlines published for the season; an application is not automatic team approval.
Already part of an organized team? Follow the instructions for your approved season and team. For a late Fall 2026 addition, get staff confirmation of a place before completing any player form. Confirm your team association with its representative rather than submitting another team application.
Looking ahead to spring? Spring Rec 2027 registration is planned to open October 26, 2026. See Spring registration details. Spring’s final team requirements and links will be published separately. For Teen Soccer, individuals and groups are welcome. A team application is free and separate from every player’s paid league registration. U14 and high-school teams normally need at least 14 players, but smaller groups may apply for review; LGU may be able to add individually registered players. See Teen Soccer for the details. Winter Futsal’s entry arrangements remain to be confirmed.

RECREATIONAL REGISTRATION
Fall 2026 is in its final weeks. Most new players should look ahead to Winter Futsal and Spring Rec 2027. Registration for Spring Rec 2027 is planned to open October 26, 2026.
If your child wants to start immediately, contact recsoccer@losgatosunited.com first. LGU must confirm a suitable team has room before you register. U14 and high-school Super Rec teams play into the second week of November, so a late addition may be more feasible there. No place is guaranteed.

When a season offers a team-application route, a representative submits the application and each family separately registers and pays for its player. Check that season’s requirements and registration status. For Fall 2026, speak with LGU before considering any late team application.
Follow the published team requirements for that season. A team application alone does not complete player registration or guarantee team approval. See season options and registration status.
Yes. A team application does not replace each player’s registration and payment. Follow the instructions for your season and approved team. For an immediate Fall 2026 addition, staff must confirm a place before you register.
Confirm your team association with the representative if you are unsure. You do not need to create another team application.
Buddy-request rules are published for each season, and requests are not guaranteed. For the remaining weeks of Fall 2026, any new placement depends on a suitable team having room. Staff must review the request before you register.
An organized team application is different from listing a few preferred teammates. See season options and registration status; other seasons may have different rules.
CHOOSING A PROGRAM & SIGNING UP
Recreational soccer does not require a tryout. Competitive soccer follows the applicable tryout or interest process. Use Tryouts & Evaluations to review the dates and eligibility before continuing to Byga.
An interest form is not an immediate evaluation appointment or an offer of a team place. Questions about eligibility or possible exceptions need club review.
Use the website to choose the program and review its details. When registration is available, its registration button takes you to the appropriate Byga form.
A team application, individual registration and an expression of interest are different actions; follow the description beside the button. An email question does not itself register a player.
Check the page for the specific program and season. Spring Rec 2027 registration is planned to open October 26, 2026. Opening dates and age requirements are not the same across all LGU offerings. Follow that season’s published divisions rather than an older calendar or another program’s age range.

No. For Summer 2027, Jr. Competitive Player Development serves competitive players ages 6-9, and Competitive Player Development serves ages 10-14; neither requires a High Performance invitation.
Summer Soccer Camp welcomes all playing levels ages 4-12. High Performance is a separate invitation-or-approval program for high-level players ages 10-17. Compare the summer options.
AFTER SUBMITTING & GETTING HELP
Use your Byga account and current club or team messages for your player’s assignment and schedule. The public website and Club Calendar describe programs and club-wide events; they are not a substitute for your team’s current schedule.

Check the confirmation for the action you completed. Registering interest, applying as a team, signing up for a tryout and enrolling in a program are different steps.
Follow the next-step instructions in Byga and club messages. Do not submit another registration solely because you are unsure of the first submission’s status; contact the relevant program for help.

REGISTERED? START HERE.
Check your confirmation. Your program’s registration and welcome messages explain the next steps. An existing team’s calendar does not by itself confirm a new player’s start date.
Use the correct account and team. Follow your club invitation and use Byga for private team information. The public Club Calendar is not a replacement for your team’s schedule.
Ask when something is missing. For an invitation, team assignment, uniform instruction or account question, contact the relevant program below. Include the program and a short explanation so your question reaches the right person.
